DoPT seeks clearances from Health and Environment ministry on AIIMS ex-CVO Sanjiv Chaturvedi
Kejriwal had written to Union Minister Prakash Javadekar for urgently releasing Chaturvedi from his duties to enable him to work as his Officer on Special Duty.

"...As per the extant procedure, NOC (no objection certificate) of the Administrative ministry i.e. the Department of Health and Family Welfare and Cadre Clearance of the Ministry of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change being the cadre controlling would be needed before processing the case further," said an office memorandum issued by Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on April 29.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had written to Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Prakash Javadekar on February 16 for urgently releasing Chaturvedi from his duties as Deputy Secretary, AIIMS to enable him to work as his Officer on Special Duty (OSD).
"I would be obliged if you personally look into the matter and get the requisite orders issued at the earliest," the Chief Minister had said.
The ministry officials immediately submmitted the note to Javadekar for processing the case for final approval of Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC), after seeking consent from the Government of Haryana and Health Ministry.
However, Javadekar decided to seek opinion of DoPT on April 15 and had forwarded the matter to them.
Chaturvedi, Indian Forest Service Officer, was removed from his post as CVO of AIIMS in August last year by the Health Ministry.
