Centre working on takeout financing scheme for hydro plants: Piyush Goyal

NEW DELHI: The government is working on a takeout financing scheme to revive under-construction hydropower plants, power minister Piyush Goyal said.

The government will be focusing on revival of hydro and wind power sectors in the current financial year, Goyal said. He said the government is reviewing each hydropower plant in the country.

The minister said in June he will hold meetings with power ministers of the states where hydropower plants are located.
