Centre should amend the disaster list: BJP
In order to help the farmers whose rabi crops were damaged during the prolonged spell of cold wave, the BJP has demanded change of norms by the Centre and inclusion of cold wave and ground frost in the disaster list.

JAIPUR: In order to help the farmers whose rabi crops were damaged during the prolonged spell of cold wave, the BJP has demanded change of norms by the Centre and inclusion of cold wave and ground frost in the disaster list.
BJP's Rajasthan unit office bearers, MPs and MLAs marched towards the Raj Bhavan and submitted a memorandum to the Governor S K Singh in this effect.
"We have demanded that the Central government should amend its disaster list and include cold wave and ground frost in it," a BJP spokesperson said.
President of state unit BJP Om Mathur said the Centre should include cold wave and ground frost in the disaster list and these two should also be treated as natural calamities. "If the Centre fails to do it, the state unit of BJP will protest against it and stage a dharna in Delhi as well," he said.
