Centre requesting organisations to adopt self certification

NEW DELHI: Centre is requesting different organisations to streamline their attestation process and adopt self-certifications as a measure of administrative reforms, Lok Sabha was informed today.

In a written reply, Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievance and Pensions, Jitendra Singh said different organisations prescribe different criteria for attestation, subject to statutory and legal provisions.

"It is a constant endeavour of the Government to simplify procedures by introduction of self certification. For this, all Central Ministries/Departments as well as state governments/UTs have been requested to review the existing requirement in this regard and make provisions for self-certification, wherever possible. Response from 20 states/UTs has been indicating action taken by them," Singh said.
