The ministries have been asked if a full-time CVO was required in organisations under their administrative control and give their opinion on whether the post of CVO of two or more organisations can be clubbed together.
The ministries have been asked to furnish details about their staff strength, the volume of vigilance work in the PSEs and also their turnover in the last five years.

The ministries have also been asked to suggest whether they wanted the post of CVOs to be continued at the current level, upgraded or downgraded or abolished in tune with the workload and requirement of vigilance-related matters.
All ministries have been asked to submit their response in 15 days.
