Centre finalising new pitch to convince states to levy sugar cess: Reports

After facing opposition from several state governments on imposing cess on sugar under GST, Centre is finalising a new pitch to convince states to levy a sugar cess. ET NOW's Tushar Chakrabarty learns from his sources that such a cess could be levied on a temporary basis. GST Council can decide to change the rate of cess post its imposition.
