Centre announces additional bonus for paddy
The Centre has announced additional bonus of Rs 50 per quintal for paddy for the current season, taking the total purchase price to Rs 775 per quintal for higher quality of the grain.

NEW DELHI: The Centre on Thursday announced additional bonus of Rs 50 per quintal for paddy for the current season, taking the total purchase price to Rs 775 per quintal for higher quality of the grain.
The procurement price, including MSP and bonus, would now be Rs 745 per quintal for fair average quality (FAQ) and Rs 775 per quintal for Grade A variety.
Earlier, the government had announced a bonus of Rs 50 per quintal for paddy over and above the minimum support price of Rs 645 and 675 per quintal for FAQ and Grade A varieties respectively.
