The opposition claims that unemployment and inflation are two big issues that Indians face today. Many lost jobs as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic and should India face a recession, the situation may change for the worse. The Indian government in the form of PLI, Make in India and other schemes has been encouraging job creation in India and may continue to do so in the upcoming Budget.

PM Narendra Modi recently launched the PM Rozgar Mela 2022, through which, recruitments will take place in around 38 ministries and departments under the Government of India. Ministries are expected to conduct these recruitments at a direct level or recruit eligible candidates through agencies such as Union Public Service Commission, Staff Selection Commission and Railway Recruitment Board. Around 75,000 candidates received their appointment letters in the first phase of the recruitment scheme.
