In Budget 2026, FM Nirmala Sitharaman bets big on Rare Earth Corridors in Odisha, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh & Tamil Nadu to boost mining, processing, research & manufacturing of critical minerals.This strategic move aims to reduce India's heavy dependence on China for rare earth elements essential for EVs, renewable energy, electronics, defence & permanent magnets.The initiative, building on the 2025 Rare Earth Permanent Magnets scheme, will power India's self-reliant green economy, tech growth & supply chain security.
