Outlining on her vision for the economy, Sitharaman spoke of seven focus areas which she termed 'Saptarishi' to guide the government.
These Saptarishi priority areas are:
1. Inclusive development
2. Reaching the last mile
3. Infrastructure and investment
4. Unleashing the potential
6. Youth power
7. Financial sector
Amrit Kaal is a hold-all narrative that includes infrastructural, manufacturing, digital and social growth that makes the country self-reliant and puts the country not only among the developed ones but also its economy in the third slot globally. Vital instruments to achieve such growth are innovation and reform.
Sitharaman had remarked that Budget 2023-24 would offer a blueprint for the Amrit Kaal, effectively outlining strategies that can help India achieve the ambitious target.
