Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present her fourth budget today at 11 am. She is expected to leave tax rates largely unchanged, and instead rely on income from asset sales and a near-record borrowing of about Rs 13 trillion to partly fund her growth plan.

Where can I see it?
The Budget speech can be seen on Sansad TV, the official parliament channel, run by Doordarshan. The same is also available on Sansad TV's Youtube site.

How long will be Sitharaman's Budget speech?
In 2019, she delivered the longest speech in Budget history of 2 hours and 15 minutes. In 2020, she broke that record by delivering a speech that lasted for 162 minutes. It is expected that this year too her speech will be long.

Will she tinker with taxes in this Budget?
Unlikely but there is a section that believes that the exemption limit of Rs 2.5 lakh may be hiked to cushion inflation. The centre is also mulling an increase in standard deduction by 30-35% for the salaried and pensioners.
