"Under the ongoing Indira Gandhi National Disability Pension Scheme for BPL beneficiaries, the monthly pension amount per person is being raised from Rs 200 to Rs 300," Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee announced while presenting the budget in the Lok Sabha.

"The hopes of 70 million Indians with disability have been betrayed. We are completely heartbroken," said Javed Abidi, convenor, Disabled Rights Group (DRG).
