Bangalore-based Sajai Singh to head International Technology Law Association
BANGALORE: Bangalore-based Sajai Singh, partner in law firm J Sagar Associates, has become the president of the International Technology Law Association ( I-Tech Law), the first person from outside the West and the first Asian to be elected to the position.

I-Tech Law, established in 1971 and headquartered in Massachusetts, US, has over 1,000 members, across 60 countries, specialized in technology law. It's one of the largest associations of its kind, debating the relevant technology law issues of the day and providing advice to countries seeking to frame laws related to technology. It provided inputs when India framed its IT Act.

Singh, who has been associated with the executive committee of I-Tech Law since 2010, said his election was a recognition of the growing importance of Asia in general and India in particular in the space. He said a focus area for him during his tenure would be risk management in a world of internet of things.
