Assam government to organize trade fair next year.

GUWAHATI: For the first time, Assam government will organise trade and industrial exposition from February 19 to 25 February next year in Jorhat in Upper Assam.

Assam industry minister, Pradyut Bordoloi said that fair will provide a platform for business opportunities and enterprise building with the National and International markets. “The fair will provide a Buyer-Seller platform offering business opportunities and enterprise building and also provide insight and direction to entrepreneurial aspirations. “

Around 80 foreign participants from ASEAN, SAARC, BCIM and other South Asian countries are expected in the fair. Bordoloi added that national manufacturers (machinery/agricultural/food processing / textile / packaging etc.) will participate. Small and medium enterprise (SME) will also participate

Government is expecting 250 exhibitors and a huge conglomeration of business Visitors from Northeast. The minister added tour Circuits and travel packages in and around Jorhat will also be leveraged as value additions for participants of exhibition and Business Summit delegates.
