Anti-dumping inquiry against MPM from China, Japan, US and EU

India has initiated anti-dumping investigation against import of mica pearl pigment(MPM) from China, Japan, US and European Union.

NEW DELHI: India has initiated anti-dumping investigation against import of mica pearl pigment(MPM) from China, Japan, US and European Union.
The Directorate General of Anti-dumping and Allied Duties said various economic indictaors relating to domestic industry such as production, sales, profit/loss collectively and cumulatively indicated that the domestic industry has suffered injury.
"There is sufficient prime facie evidence that the imports of the product under consideration have caused material injury to domestic industry," DGAD said in its notification.
In view of this, the Authority said it had initiated anti-dumping investigations to determine the existence, degree and effect of alleged dumping of subject goods originating in or exported from subject countries.
The period of investigation initiated on account of a petition filed by Sundarshan Chemicals, Pune is April 01, 2002 to September 30, 2003.
