Anti-dumping duty on imports of sodium hydrosulphite

The Directorate General of Anti-dumping and Allied Duties has recommended imposition of anti-dumping duty on imports of sodium hydrosulphite from Germany and Korea.

NEW DELHI: The Directorate General of Anti-dumping and Allied Duties has recommended imposition of anti-dumping duty on imports of sodium hydrosulphite from Germany and Korea.
In its final findings, the designated authority said sodium hydrosulphite had been exported to India from subject countries below its normal price causing material injury to the domestic industry.
"The authority considers it necessary to impose anti-dumping duty on all imports of sodium hydrosulphite from subject countries in order to remove the injury to the domestic industry," a notification issued on October 20, 2003 said here.
DGAD had initiated investigation on a petition filed by Transpek Silox Industry and Demosha Chemicals Pvt Ltd.
