Amid Iran-US crisis, RBI retains policy repo rate unchanged at 5.25%: Monetary Policy Statement

The Reserve Bank of India kept its benchmark repo rate unchanged at 5.25% on Wednesday in its first policy decision since the Iran war, as it grapples with a sharply weaker rupee while trying to support economic growth. All ⁠six members of the rate panel, which includes three central bank officials and three external appointees, voted to hold rates. The MPC also decided to continue with the "neutral" stance.
