NEW DELHI: The government aims at increasing the contribution of manufacturing to the GDP to 25% within a decade, Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee said while presenting the Budget 2012-13.



The Economic Survey tabled on Thursday said the medium- to-long-term growth of an emerging economy depends not only on the overall level of investments, but also on its sectoral composition and that there is a need to boost manufacturing and agri sector for a balanced growth.
