RANCHI: The Jharkhand government on Thursday announced a five percent hike in the dearness allowance for state government employees.
The advisory committee of Governor approved the increase in DA in retrospect from July 1, a senior government official said here.
The state exchequer will incur an additional burden of Rs 21 crore following the decision.
Jharkhand is under President's rule.
