World Bank, local officials discuss scope for Agra improvement
AGRA: The development of Agra in general and of tourism facilities in the city in particular was the main agenda of a two-day meeting between representatives of World Bank and local officials here led by Divisional Commissioner Pradeep Bhatnagar.

In the meeting which concluded last evening, detailed discussions were held on several proposed projects for the development of the city and the tourism here.

People connected with handicrafts and allied industries also took part in the discussions.

The local team made suggestions for the setting up of a Mughal museum, treatment of the foul-smelling nullah near Agra Fort, development of a viewpoint for the Taj and other riverside mounuments, etc.

Agra has three world and six national heritage sites and 70 other monuments of note.
