Work on Bhopal SEZ to begin after approval: CM
Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said work on the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) at Hargarh village in Jabalpur district would begin after getting approval from the Centre.
BHOPAL: Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said work on the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) at Hargarh village in Jabalpur district would begin after getting approval from the Centre.
Addressing a function after laying the foundation stone for the SEZ on Friday, Chouhan said the proposal of establishing SEZ at Hargarh has been forwarded to the Union government after completing all the formalities, official sources said on Saturday.
He informed that the work on the SEZ would be started as soon as approval is received from the Union government. SEZ would lead to the development of the area and it would also provide more job opportunities to the youths of the region.
After receiving centre's nod Rs 158 crore minerals-based SEZ would be set up in 250 acre land at Hargarh village which is rich in mineral resources.
Through this SEZ goods to the tune of Rs 2131.61 crore is expected to be exported between 2011 and 2015.
