Vijay Chhibber to hold additional charge of NHAI

NEW DELHI: Road Transport and Highways Secretary Vijay Chhibber was today given additional charge of Chairman, National Highways Authority of India ( NHAI).

The 1978 batch IAS officer of Manipur-Tripura cadre has been given the additional charge for a period of three months with effect from the date of relinquishment of charge by RP Singh on completion of his tenure, an order issued by Department of Personnel and Training said.

Also, Sobhana Kamala Sudarsana Rao has been appointed as Development Commissioner, Special Economic Zone, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh under the Department of Commerce till November 30, 2018, date of her superannuation, it said.

H Nagesh Prabhu, a 1984 batch Indian Forest Service officer of Kerala cadre, has been appointed as Member Secretary, Central Silk Board, Bengaluru. He will hold the charge till December 31, 2017, the date of his superannuation, the order said.

Another IAS officer, M K S Sundaram has been appointed as Development Commissioner, MEPZ-Special Economic Zone, Chennai. Sundaram, a 1997 batch IAS officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre, has been appointed for a period of five years, it said.
