To decide the modalities for making Coimbatore a Smart City, as selected by the Centre, the mayor and corporation officials today sought suggestions from various associations and NGOs.

COIMBATORE: To decide the modalities for making Coimbatore a Smart City, as selected by the Centre, the mayor and corporation officials today sought suggestions from various associations and NGOs.

Representatives of associations and NGOs like Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, RAAC and Siruthuli participated in the meeting, where mayor Rajkumar presented the details of the system, official sources said.

He said suggestions given by these industrial and commercial associations will be taken into consideration to prepare a blueprint.

The corporation commissioner, Dr Vijay Karthikeyan detailed about the concept.

Another meeting in this regard will be held on August eight and a two-day workshop from August 16, an official release said.
