GHAZIABAD: The work on the 10.36 km elevated road from Meerut Tiraha to UP Gate is fast progressing and authorities are striving to complete the project by 2017, officials said.

Work on the elevated road, aimed at providing easy transportation for commuters visiting Vasundhara, Indirapuram and Vaishali areas, is progressing quickly, Vice Chairman of Ghaziabad Development Authority Vijay Kumar said.

Chief Engineer of Ghaziabad Development Authority V K Goel said the work on the 10.36 km project has been aimed to finish by 2017. The elevated road would allow the commuters to reach UP Gate from Meerut Tiraha within 10 to 15 minutes.

Officials of Ghaziabad Development Authority today said the Kanawani cut, on the elevated road, would give a huge respite to those travelling to Delhi.
