Singapore team arrives in Guntur to help in capital designs
Guntur district administration has so far acquired nearly 2,500-3,000 acres from farmers for developing the new capital around Vijayawada-Guntur stretch.

P Narayana, Minister for Municipal Administration, said a 10-member team from the Southeast Asian country reached here today and another one, consisting of 15 people, will arrive tomorrow.
Narayana, who is camping in Guntur district to speed up land acquisition process for the new capital, was talking to reporters at Tullur village.
He said these teams will finalise their designs by June. This will be followed by beginning of construction work, which is to be completed within a period of three years.
The Guntur district administration has so far acquired nearly 2,500-3,000 acres from farmers for developing the new capital around Vijayawada-Guntur stretch.
The TDP-led Government plans to build the State's administrative hub across 30,000 acres.
