Singapore delegation shows interest in UP's infra projects
A delegation comprising business leaders and govt officials from Singapore has evinced interest in investing in upcoming infra projects in UP.

A team of key officials of International Enterprise Singapore (IES) and Changi Airport Group met Special Secretary Industrial Development K R Sharma here yesterday, according to an official release.
The Singapore delegation comprised of centre director of IES in Mumbai, Wong Ken Mun, and centre director of IES in Delhi Amita Mehta along with Phau senior manager of Changi Airport Group of Singapore Hui Hoon.
The team had a detailed discussion with Sharma about the investment avenues available for Singaporean companies in the state.
Wong informed that IES was the government agency driving Singapore's external economy as well as promoting overseas growth of Singapore-based companies and international trade.
"It is our first visit to Lucknow and we are on a fact finding mission to explore investment opportunities for Singapore companies in Uttar Pradesh," Wong said.
The special secretary informed the delegation about various infrastructure development projects which are coming up on Public Private Partnership mode and are open for bidding as well as new industrial development projects.
Visiting delegation was apprised of proposed Agra Airport, Agra-Lucknow Expressway, Trans-Ganga Model Township, international-level cricket Stadium at Lucknow, Lucknow IT City, early bird projects of Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor falling in UP, the release said.
Promising to return with specific investment proposals, the visiting delegation was particularly interested in progress of proposed Night Safari at Greater Noida, proposed Agra-Lucknow Expressway, IT City, international airport at Agra, solid waste management and power, it added.
