SEZ gets clean chit from Rajasthan High Court

The Rajasthan High Court has given a clean chit to the development of Special Economic Zone in Jaipur.

JAIPUR: Observing that the state government has acted in a transparent manner, the Rajasthan High Court has given a clean chit to the development of Special Economic Zone in the capital.

Dismissing the petition by one Mohan Lal Sharma who had challenged the allotment of land alleging that the norms were flouted to favour developers Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd, the Division Bench of acting Chief Justice J M Panchal and Justice M Rafiq said the records did not indicate that the land was alloted in a surreptitious or clandestine nanner.

The records also didnot show that there was any scam as was sought to the made out by the petitioner. It would not be out of the space to the state that so-called scam is a fragment of the imagination of the petitioner which has no factual basis.

Around 300 acres of land near Mahapura Jaipur was allotted for development of SEZ.
