Second bridge over river Brahmaputra in Guwahati to be ready by 2014: CP Joshi

GUWAHATI: Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Dr. C.P. Joshi on Tuesday said presently the ministry is constructing on an average around 14km roads per day across the country.

Joshi who is on two day visit to Northeast India on Tuesday said that Second bridge over Brahmaputra River in Guwahati will be will completed by December 2014.

He added under the special accelerated road development programme (SARDP-NE) which is in two phases around 10, 141 km of roads will constructed. Project "A" will cost Rs 33, 688 Crore.
