HYDERABAD: The Andhra Pradesh government has proposed to take up three tourism projects including a multiplex, under public-private-partnership and BOT model with an investment outlay of Rs 273 crore.

A Rs 250 crore multiplex project would come up on a two acre plot here, while two passenger rope-ways would be developed at Bhavani Island at Vijayawada and Bhongir Fort in Nalgonda district with an estimated investment of Rs 12 crore and Rs 11 crore respectively, Tourism Department Special Chief Secretary Chandana Khan told reporters here today.

"The tender documents for the multiplex project and two passenger ropeway projects will be issued on January 25 and the bids will be finalised by February 25," she said.

The two ropeway projects are slated to be operational in mid-2015, she added.

The government also proposed to develop a Water and Children Theme Park at Lower Tank Bund here and an Eco Park and Urban Haat at Kothwalguda village in neighbouring Rajendranagar mandal with the funding of state government and central finance, Khan said.
