RIICO inks pact with Concor for logistic park

Rajasthan State Industrial and Investment Corporation and Concor to set up a Rs 350-cr multi-model logistic park.

JAIPUR: The Rajasthan State Industrial and Investment Corporation Limited (RIICO) has signed an MoU with Container Corporation of India Limited (Concor) to set up a Rs 350-crore multi-model logistic park (MMLP) in the state.

RIICO managing director Rajendra Bhanawat told ET that the park would have facilities for a container yard, a modern container handling system, cargo handling, warehousing, etc.

“RIICO has allotted 250 acres for this project. Concor will have to develop infrastructure for this project within 36 months. The park would facilitate industries in the region with quick and cheap transportation of materials,” he said.

The project is likely to act as a catalyst to the industrial development of the state. “It will help industries come up on the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC). Around 40% of the DMIC project passes through Rajasthan,” Mr Bhanawat said.
