RGCTP phase II SEZ notified
Union Ministry of Commerce and Industry has notified phase II SEZ of Rajiv Gandhi Chandigarh Technology Park (RGCTP), said an official release of Chandigarh administration issued on Friday.

CHANDIGARH: Union Ministry of Commerce and Industry has notified phase II SEZ of Rajiv Gandhi Chandigarh Technology Park (RGCTP), said an official release of Chandigarh administration issued here today.
"In the Phase II SEZ, Wipro has taken 30 acres of land for its project while Tech Mahindra has been allotted 15 acres of land for its operations," said the release.
In the non-SEZ area under Phase II, eSys has taken a six-acre plot whereas Bharti Airtel has been allotted 5 acres of land, it further said.
RGCTP has so far attracted investment of about Rs 650 crore and is currently employing more than 4500 professionals. The total annual software exports from RGCTP in 2006-07 touched Rs 200 crore which was one-third of the expected annual software export worth Rs 600 crore for the Chandigarh Capital Region (comprising Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula).
