CHENNAI: Rattha Group will set up an IT Special Economic Zone (SEZ) at a cost of Rs 1750 crore at Porur here.
The 4.5 million sqft SEZ would be completed by 2012 and it would provide employment opportunities to over 50,000 people, Rattha Group Chairman H S Rattha told reporters here today.
He said the rising demand for high quality SEZ business space in Chennai had prompted the Group to initiate such a project.
Rattha Group Infrastructure Division Chief Executive Officer C Velan said the SEZ would provide world-class infrastructure to the clients.
