R-Infra unveils online toll recharge on Hosur-Krishnagiri road

Smart cards which are valid for one month also facilitate cashless transactions at toll plazas, reduce stop-over time and traffic congestion.

NEW DELHI: Reliance Infrastructure today said it has launched online toll recharge facility for commuters using the Hosur to Krishnagiri highway in Tamil Nadu.

"Reliance Infrastructure, through its Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) HK Toll Road Private Limited, today announced the launch of 'Online recharge facility' for smart card users of Hosur-Krishnagiri road corridor," a company statement said.

The company claims that the introduction of this facility will save their traveling time, improve traffic flow and provide host of other benefits.

"This facility will allow commuters to recharge their smart cards whenever and wherever they wish to and avoid visiting to toll plazas and wait in long queues for recharging their smart cards," Lalit Jalan, CEO Reliance Infrastructure, said in the statement.

Reliance Infrastructure won the Rs 925 crore Hosur- Krishnagiri road project from the National Highways Authority of India ( NHAI) in 2010.

Shares of Reliance Infrastructure were trading at Rs 424.25, down 1.69 per cent in the afternoon trade on the BSE.
