ONGC signs MoU with Assam govt for improving two roads

The Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd (ONGC) on Thursday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Assam government pledging Rs 10.1 crore for improving the condition of two roads in Assam's Sibsagar district.

GUWAHATI: The Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd (ONGC) on Thursday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Assam government pledging Rs 10.1 crore for improving the condition of two roads in Assam's Sibsagar district.

The ONGC would provide a sum of Rs 10.1 crore for improving 19 km of the main road connecting Nazira to Sibsagar and 14 km of road from Joysagar to Nazira town, a Press release issued here said.

The PWD would execute the job within 12 months from the date of award of work, the release added. The MOU was signed here with the Public Works Department (PWD) of the state government.
