The government today said the repair work of the highways falling under the ambit of NHIDCL will be completed within next two months.

NEW DELHI: The government today said the repair work of the highways falling under the ambit of NHIDCL will be completed within next two months.

"All roads under the control of NHIDCL shall be repaired within next two months," said NHIDCL Managing Director Anand Kumar as per an official statement issued here.

Kumar chaired an emergency meeting of National Highways & Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd (NHIDCL), for undertaking essential repair works of the roads under its jurisdiction.

The statement said the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways Undertaking has already started repair works on Biswanath Chariali by-pass (208.00 km) to Gohpur (265.50 km) road in Assam.

The Ministry has incorporated NHIDCL as a new entity for fast pacing the construction of Highways and other Infrastructure in North-Eastern region and strategic border areas of the country.
