NABARD to give Rs 100.03 cr loan to AP

NABARD to give loan assistance of over Rs 100 crore to Andhra Pradesh for irrigational projects.

HYDERABAD: The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has sanctioned 43 irrigation projects -- 20 minor and 23 lift -- with a loan assistance of Rs 25.03 crore and Rs 75 crore respectively to Andhra Pradesh.

The minor irrigation projects would be implemented by irrigation and command area development department (minor irrigation) in five districts viz., Adilabad, Karimnagar, Mahboobnagar, Nalgonda and Warangal benefitting 6130 ha of agriculture land, a NABARD release said today.

The lift irrigation projects would be implemented by Andhra Pradesh State Irrigation Development Corporation (APSIDC) in 12 districts viz, Adilabad, Anantapur, Kadapa, Karimnagar, Khammam, Krishna, Kurnool, Nalgonda, Nellore, Nizamabad, Srikakulam and Warangal to benefit 8077 ha of upland areas, the release added.
