Mumbai gets Carboncor roads, first in India

The much coveted Carboncor technology is finally now on the Mumbai roads, as two roads are completed with this technology. Moreover, the construction was achieved in record time of two days.

This cold-mix technology took merely 2 days to complete a total of 186 meter roads in different areas of Mumbai which otherwise could take not less than 10 days if used the hot bitumen technology.

One road was constructed on Dattaram Marg, opposite Sardar Hotel near Chinchpokali Railway Station (East) which is 148 meters in length and about 10 meters in width. It took two days to complete the road.

Similarly, a 38 meter long and about 9 meter wide road was constructed on Khajuria Road up to Garden Plot in Kandivali (West). This road was completed in a single day. Both roads were immediately opened for the vehicular traffic.

It may be recalled that Sumer Infrastructure, the pioneer of Carboncor in India, was awarded only pothole feelings and trenches in the past. This is first time, when the roads are being constructed with Carboncor technology in India. The technology, tested and certified by IIT - Bombay, is in use in many developed countries.
