MNCs keen to come to Haryana: Minister

A number of multinational companies were willing to come to Haryana for setting up industries in various fields, a Haryana minister said.

KARNAL: Haryana Urban Development and Local Bodies Minister A C Chaudhry on Sunday said a number of multinational companies were willing to come to the state for setting up their industries in various fields.

The Haryana Government has decided to provide all infrastructures to these entrepreneurs in urban areas like roads, street light, sewerage, drinking water, development of parks, he said addressing a gathering here.

No laxity or carelessness on the part of municipal employees, president of the municipal committee and its municipal councillor would be tolerated in implementing the development scheme in urban areas and added that stern action would be taken against them.

Expressing "dissatisfaction" over the performance of 11 municipal committee of the state, Chaudhry said that he was contemplating stern action including dismissal of a president municipal committee and suspension of two other presidents of municipal committee very soon. He refused to disclose the name of these presidents of MC.

He said that the survey for acquisition of land for the Kalpna Chawla medical college at Karnal had been commenced by the Government.

Referring to demands of the Punjabis, he assured that the land for construction of a Punjabi Dharamshala would be provided by the Government and after the land is provided he would send a sum of Rs 10 lakh for the construction of Dharamshala.
