Karnataka orders judicial probe into BMIC project affairs

The Karnataka government on Thursday ordered a judicial probe into the affairs of the controversial Bangalore-Mysore Infrastructure Corridor (BMIC) project.

BANGALORE: The Karnataka government on Thursday ordered a judicial probe into the affairs of the controversial Bangalore-Mysore Infrastructure Corridor (BMIC) project and decided to recover excess land given to the project.

The probe team would be asked to submit its findings in two months so that the government can rectify "mistakes" that had occurred while according approval for the project, which has been lingering for 11 years, Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy announced at the end of his four-hour-long reply on the BMIC issue in the state assembly.
