JP Associates to invest Rs 13000 cr in cement units
Jaiprakash Associates has signed four MOUs with Madhya Pradesh govt to invest Rs 13,000 cr for setting up two cement manufacturing units, an aluminium production factory and a power plant.
The cement units would be established in Satna and Amarpatan with an investment of Rs 2,000 crore each for producing five million tonne cement, an official release said.
For producing two lakh tonne alumina, one lakh tonne aluminium and a captive thermal power plant of 200-250 MW capacity in Rewa district, the company will invest Rs 3,500 crore, it said.
Besides, it would invest Rs 550 crore for setting up power generating units of 500 MW capacity at Bina town in the state.
The power generation from these units would commence from 2011-12, it said.
The MOU for setting up power plants was inked by state Energy Minister Gaurishankar Shejwar and JP Associates Executive Chairman Manoj Gaur.
Agreement for establishing cement and alumimium units was signed by Industry Minister Jayant Mallaiya and Gaur in the presence of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan yesterday, an official release said.
