IVRCL bags order worth Rs 388 cr

MUMBAI: IVRCL Infrastructures and Projects Ltd on Tuesday said it has secured a Rs 388.16 crore contract for irrigation related works in Telegu Ganga project from the Andhra Pradesh government.
In a communique to the Bombay Stock Exchange, IVRCL Infrastructures said that it has bagged separate orders for the Telegu Ganga project (Rs 210.35 crore) and the T G P Nandyal (Rs 186.81 crore) from the Irrigation Department of the Government of Andhra Pradesh, to be executed along with its joint venture partners.
The Telugu Ganga is one of the projects formulated in recent years to import water from the Krishna into Rayalaseema to feed water to drought prone Kadapa and Kurnool areas in Andhra Pradesh.
The T G P circle Nandyal order entails designing, construction and related works of new head regulator adjacent to existing ones at Pothireddy Padu.
IVRCL would also have to carry out the widening of Srisailam Right Main Canal (SRMC) from Pothireddy Padu head regulator to Banakacheria cross regulator complex including construction as well as improvements and alterations of canal maintenance (CM) and canal development (CD) works.
Excavation of link channel from additional cross regulator to SRBC main canal as well as widening of SRBC Main Canal up to 25.067 kilometres including construction and improvements and alterations to CM and CD works is also a part of the order, it added.
Shares of the infrastructure firm were trading at Rs 417.40, up 1.58 per cent on the BSE.
