'Israel can share experiences with Puducherry in several areas'

PUDUCHERRY: Israel can share its experiences with Puducherry in several areas, including irrigation, water treatment and its re-usage, agriculture and education, a top official of the country said here today.

"Israel can share its experiences with Puducherry and the main areas where this initiative can be made relate to water treatment, irrigation, re-usage of water,agriculture, culture, education and medicine," Dov Segev-Steinberg, acting Consul General of Israel headquartered in Bangalore, said.

The acting consul General, who earlier held discussions with Chief Minister N Rangasamy, said relations between India and Israel were excellent and were advancing from strength to strength.

He also referred to the highlights in relations between the two countries in the fields of culture and art.

Expressing satisfaction over his meeting with the CM, he said though his visit to Puducherry was a short one, it was important as it would pave the way for promoting relations between Israel and Puducherry`.

The Acting Consul General, who had earlier visited the Aurobindo Ashram and paid homage at the memorials of Aurobindo and his spiritual collaborator 'The Mother'.
