IL&FS, Adani, Ajanta sign MoU with Chinese cos
Leading Gujarat-based companies IL&FS, Adani, Ajanta and Electrotherm, have signed significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) with Chinese companies.
A high-powered 21-member business delegation from Gujarat attended the three-day global summit 'Summer Davos' at Dalian in China, along with Gujarat Chief Minister, Narendra Modi.
Leading infrastructure company, IL&FS, has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Chinese companies, securing an advanced booking for 6 million square feet in Gujarat International Finance Tech City (GIFT), attracting total investments of Rs 5,000 crore.
"IL&FS has topped the list of MoUs during the recent business delegation's summit at Dalian in China," IL&FS, Managing Director, Harisankaran, said on the sidelines of a meeting here today.
He said GIFT is drawing up a final blueprint to emerge as the national benchmark for integrated city development and the project would be completed by FY10.
Once established, GIFT would be a world-class city model, that will be replicated across various states in India, Harisankaran said.
