Haryana Govt plans to build SAI centre at Meham

The Haryana Government on Saturday decided to set up a Sports Authority of India (SAI) Center at Meham over a land of 12 acres with a hostel having capacity of about 50-60 beds.

ROHTAK: The Haryana Government on Saturday decided to set up a Sports Authority of India (SAI) Center at Meham over a land of 12 acres with a hostel having capacity of about 50-60 beds.

Haryana Marketing Board, Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) and Haryana Sports Department would jointly prepare the construction plan of this SAI center. The SAI has already surveyed the area in this regard.

The decision was taken in a meeting chaired by M L Tayal, who is the principal secretary to Chief Minister of Haryana.

Similarly, a decision was taken to construct the sports stadia at Bohar, Aasan, Bhani Surjan, Nidana and at Pharmana villages and a wrestling hall over a land of three acres at Chulliana village.

While giving suggestions regarding the various developmental works of the area, the Member of Parliament from Rohtak Deepender Singh Hooda said that various pending projects should be completed at the earliest.

He said that the construction work of Sanskriti Model School over a land of 25 acres would be started in the first week of October at Sanghi village.
