Govt to improve infrastructure in industrial area of HP:CM

The Himachal Pradesh government will create an investment friendly environment in the state to encourage industrialisation, Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal said today.

SHIMLA: The Himachal Pradesh government will create an investment friendly environment in the state to encourage industrialisation, Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal said today.

Efforts would be made to get special industrial package up to the year 2013, he said addressing inaugural ceremonies of Su-Kam, SMF Battery Plant and ninth unit of Mahavir Spinning Mill of Wardhman at Baddi industrial area in Solan district.

The special industrial package was given to the state by the then prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee till the year 2013. It was later curtailed by the subsequent government till 2010.

He stressed on dispersal of industrial activities from Baddi-Barotiwala area to the interiors of the state, an official release said.

Dhumal said the state would look into illegal land deals, if any, in the industrial area and added the state government would make all land deals transparent.
