Govt allocates funds for coastal roads

The state government has allocated Rs 8.82 crore for development of coastal roads in the state, Fisheries and Ports Minister K Babu said today.

Thiruvananthapuram: The state government has allocated Rs 8.82 crore for development of coastal roads in the state, Fisheries and Ports Minister K Babu said today.

In an official release here, Babu said Rs 2.27 crore had been allocated for development of coastal roads in Alappuzha district, Rs 2.89 crore for Kannur and Rs 3.66 crore for Kollam.

The government had also sanctioned Rs six crore for educational assistance to children of fish workers, the minister said.
