Government approves Rs 1,229 crore road projects in MP and Rajasthan

"The CCEA has given its approval for the four-laning of the Rewa to Sidhi section of National Highway-75E in the state of Madhya Pradesh through a Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) on Design, Build, Finance, Operate and Transfer (DBFOT) basis," an official statement said.
The Rs 677.21 crore project including Rs 49.34 crore for land acquisition and other pre-construction activities will expedite the improvement of infrastructure in Madhya Pradesh.
It will reduce the time and cost of travel, particularly for heavy traffic, plying between Rewa and Sidhi, the statement said.
It will also increase the employment potential for local labourers for project activities, it added.
On Rajasthan, it said that the Rs 552.09 crore project for "two laning with paved shoulders of the Ladnu (Nimbhi- Jodha) - Degana-Merta City section of National Highway-458 under the National Highways Development Project (NHDP) Phase-IV" will be implemented through PPP on Engineering, Procurement and Construction ( EPC) basis.
The stretch connects Ajmer in the east, Udaipur in the south, Nagaur in the west and Sikar in the east.
The statement said this stretch will help in uplifting the socio-economic condition of this region of the state. It will also increase employment potential for local labourers for project activities.
