GoM to take up Greater Noida Airport issue

NEW DELHI: The Greater Noida airport project gets a breather as a group of ministers (GoM) is expected to take up the issue on January 20. Members of the GoM includes civil aviation minister Praful Patel, home minister P Chidambram and science and technology minister Kapil Sibal.

The UP chief minister's proposal to build an international airport project was put on the backburner after relations between the ruling political party in the state Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and Congress-run Central government got strained.

The project already has in-principle approval of the union Cabinet.
