EIBBMA seeks land for industrial spares park

Eastern India Ball Bearing Merchants Asociation requested the West Bengal government to allot land for an industrial spares park in Howrah.

KOLKATA: Eastern India Ball Bearing Merchants Asociation (EIBBAMA) on Thursday requested the West Bengal government to allot land for an industrial spares park in Howrah.

Association president Pradeep Murarka speaking at the AGM urged Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee to allot 75 acre of land at Kona Expressway.

The spares park would have manufacturers, distributors, hardware, tools and spares to enable development of an efficient and cost-effective distribution network.

The total ball-bearing market is estimated to be at Rs 50 billion and import at Rs 12 billion, the association said.
