DoNER likely to invest Rs 55 cr for infrastructure upgradation of Itanagar

ITANAGAR: Union DoNER Ministry is likely to invest Rs 55 crore for infrastructure upgradation of Itanagar and Naharlagun.

Two major infrastructure projects, construction of RCC bridge over river Pachin connecting ISBT and Naharlagun Railway Station (Rs 30 crore) and construction of bypass roads in the Capital complex Phase I (Rs 25 crore), have been accepted by the Ministry, an official report said here today.

The detailed project reports of these projects have been forwarded by DoNER to Water and Power Consultancy Services ( WAPCOS) for technical vetting and verification for early sanction, the report said.

Chief Secretary Ramesh Negi spoke to WAPCOS chairman R K Gupta and requested him to clear technical vetting of the projects and recommend them to the DoNER, it added.
